I provide holistic health strategies and education for people seeking to integrate sustainable wellness practices into their daily life.
Whether you are seeking answers about nutrition strategies that work best for you, learning to understand and trust your body, or wanting to find joy through movement, I’m here to meet you as you are — and give you the tools and guidance necessary to foster a healthier, more aligned, confident and compassionate relationship with yourself.
Restriction, quick fixes, valuing external expectations and judgments over intuition.
Nourishing with intention,
movement as celebration,
trusting the body's unique wisdom.
While movement and health has always been a prominent theme and focus in my life, I haven’t always felt steady, centered and well within my body. As a lifelong athlete, my relationship with movement shaped how I expressed myself and experienced the world around me. Movement felt like an essential container to regulate myself, understand my strengths & weaknesses, and challenge my capacity to grow. While I found genuine moments of joy, presence, vitality and purpose as a competitive athlete, I eventually found myself burnt-out, disconnected, and exhausted.
My trajectory in life shifted when I took my first Yin Yoga and meditation class. As someone who valued movement and identified a lot of her worth with physical fitness, a practice centered around stillness felt like one of the most radical, challenging and centering experiences of my life. 90 minutes was all it took to initiate a more intimate relationship with my body, my senses and my inner world. Externally, it was a quiet and gentle experience, but inwardly it felt cataclysmic.
10 years after dedicating myself to the practice, Yoga has reshaped my understanding of who I really am, my capacity to meet myself, how I advocate for myself, and how I show up in my life. It has influenced how I relate to and nurture my body and my inner world. It has gifted me with compassion, curiosity, reverence and awareness of myself and my daily experience. And, perhaps most importantly, it has shown me that healing doesn’t come from putting my head down and pushing harder — it comes from listening deeply and remembering my innate wholeness.
An experience that changed everything
Shortly after my first Yin class, I dove deeper into my Yoga practice and study. I completed more than 1,000 hours of yoga teacher trainings and continuing education — blending the physical, energetic, emotional, philosophical and spiritual gifts of Yoga. During this period of study I began asking bigger questions about health, nourishment, and the interconnectedness of our physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic bodies. My studies in Yoga and Ayurveda broadened my understanding of nutrition as medicine and as a fundamental aspect of holistic wellness. This inspired me to continue my education and earn my Holistic Nutrition Therapist Master degree from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Arvada, Colorado.
My passion became my profession
Why I do this work
My educational and experiential journeys empowered me to take charge of my own healing. I learned that true healing happens when we invest in our health from a place of love and care, trust our lived experience, and give ourselves permission to change, shift, and pivot so that we may move through life with more grace, alignment, confidence and reverence.
Today, Movement Within exists to create the same container for you to meet and nourish yourself – To help you reconnect with the miracle of your body, and create a relationship with nutrition and movement that feels supportive, revitalizing and sustainable.
It is the integration of everything I’ve studied, practiced and embodied. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. Each person moves at their own intuitive pace, and carries stories and wisdom that are uniquely their own. My role is to equip you with the science-backed education and compassionate guidance you’ll need to remember your power, take control of your health, and discover a deeper appreciation for your body and its intelligence.
This work is about remembering your inherent wholeness, building body literacy, and trusting your capacity for growth and holistic healing.
